Strachan Bethune (November 6, 1821 - March 8, 1910), Q.C., twice Bâtonnier of Montreal and the 1st Anglican Chancellor of the Diocese of Montreal.

He was twice appointed Bâtonnier of Montreal (1859 and 1862) and his name was frequently mentioned when judicial vacancies became available.
Robidoux was bâtonnier for the Montreal bar in 1895 and 1896, president of the Canadian Bar Association in 1896 and bâtonnier for the Quebec bar in 1896 and 1897.
