B Unnikrishnan (born August 14, 1970) is an Indian film director and screenwriter who works in Malayalam cinema.
Next, Padmasoorya portrayed the role of Vinu, the brother of the IG (Suresh Gopi) in B. Unnikrishnan's IG, who transforms from a loving brother to a ruthless terrorist towards the end of the movie.
Over the course of his Carnatic career he has accompanied many leading artists such as T. V. Sankaranarayanan, Trichur Ramachandran, T. N. Seshagopalan, Sudha Raghunathan, Kadri Gopalnath, P. Unnikrishnan, and S. Sowmya.
The Thriller was the fifth consecutive super star project of B. Unnikrishnan, the previous ones being Smart City, I G Inspector General, Madambi and Pramaani starring Suresh Gopi, Mohanlal and Mammootty.
The film was scripted by Sethu and it is for the first time B. Unnikrishnan directs a film that has not been scripted by him.
