The following year he launched four footwear brands for Dillard’s Department Stores, including Antonio Melani, Gianni Bini, Nurture and Michelle D. Later that year, he acquired the footwear licenses for BCBG Max Azria and BCBGirls.
The company makes and distributes its own surfer brand (Freestyle) and also licenses brands from Kenneth Cole, Tommy Bahama, Betsey Johnson, BCBG, Ted Baker, Mexx, Speedo, Elgin, Thomas Kinkade and Mudd Jeans.
InStyle praised the fashions displayed throughout the episode, praising Taylor Momsen in Zero Maria Corejo coat, an Alexander Wang sweater, a BCBG skirt, Spanx tights, Cleobella bag, Tania Spinelli boots, and Courtney Lee Collection necklace.
Fernández hit the runway for the likes of Ralph Lauren, BCBG and John Bartlett, and has been featured in print campaigns for Perry Ellis, Chloé, Emanuel Ungaro, and XOXO, and appeared in the Victoria's Secret catalogs.
He sticks to the tradition of French songs, influenced by what he calls French "BCBG" (meaning Balavoine, Cabrel, Berger, and Goldman).
Other accomplishments include working with Disney English, performing with Adam Lambert at Gridlock NYE 2010 at Paramount Studios, entertaining at the Academy Awards Gifting Suite; playing at Dodger Stadium, The Knitting Factory, The Viper Room, Spirit West Coast, The Cat Club, The Roxy Theatre (West Hollywood); being a part of Max Azria's BCBG clothing line campaign BCBGeneration, and performing for Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
