In southern Italy, the "Co-Belligerent Navy of the South" (Marina Cobelligerante del Sud) fought for the King and Badoglio.
September 8: Badoglio announces the armistice between Italy and the Allies (signed at Cassibile on September 3rd).
Italian Co-Belligerent Air Force, was the air force of the Royalist "Badoglio government" in southern Italy during the last years of World War II.
Further on, an Italian guard of honor, which accompanied the advance guard for this very purpose, paid Badoglio the same courtesy.
