The club's name was changed to Balestier United FC in 1975, when it joined the inaugural National Football League competition.

After competing in 1996–97 in the Turkish Süper Lig, with Ankaragücü, the 33-year old moved to Singapore, where he represented Tanjong Pagar United FC, Home United FC and Clementi Khalsa FC until his retirement in 2001.
