Salfords and Sidlow: created from parts of Charlwood and Horley parishes, and included in Reigate and Banstead
It was created in 1894 and covered the area of the formed Epsom Rural Sanitary District - i.e. the parishes of Ashtead, Banstead, Cheam, Chessington, Cobham, Cuddington, Ewell, Fetcham, Great Bookham, Headley, Little Bookham and Stoke d'Abernon.
National Cycle Route 22 (NCR22) runs from Banstead to Brockenhurst in the New Forest via Dorking, Guildford, Farnham, Petersfield, Havant, Portsmouth, Ryde, Yarmouth and Lymington.
Neighbouring villages other than Epsom Downs were formed from Banstead's former common on this widest part of the escarpment of the North Downs: Tadworth, Kingswood and Burgh Heath.
His racing career over, Zafonic was sent to his owner's Banstead Manor Stud near the village of Cheveley in East Cambridgeshire.
