The station is situated on Line 70, which connects the south-west of the country to Luxembourg City.
The commune of Käerjeng was formed on 1 January 2012 from the former communes of Bascharage and Clemency.
From January 1988 to July 1992, he was a member of Esch-sur-Alzette communal council, and, after a change of residence, from January 1994 to January 1995, member of the communal council of Bascharage.
