Inspired by many great modern artists, such as Warhol, Basquiat, Rauschenberg, and Lichtenstein, as well as classical artists like Goya, Munch, Picasso, and most notably her father Paul Simon Hill, Fawni’s paintings are unique and striking, and always make an impression and a powerful statement.
With Jean-Michel Basquiat, who was disappointed by gallery owners, he developed a concept for an Association of Painters from June 1988 onwards until Basquiat's death in October 1988, which included world-wide sponsorships of young artists ("fish") by world-famous artists ("whales").
This sort of 'underdog in the art world' characterization can be seen in the work of video artist of Alex Bag or motion pictures such as the biopic Basquiat or the art world satire (Untitled).
That was the initial role that Julian Schnabel had on Basquiat, before Majewski abandoned the project and Schnabel took it over.
Featured areas include the “Cave Portal” where images of art and its histories explode with sight and sound; a “Portrait Salon” that encourages self-expression inspired by the work of artists from Picasso to Basquiat; and “Avenue A”, a New York subway car where Keith Haring’s work becomes a collective mural created by visitors.
