He is best known for having produced the animated programs Milton the Monster (1965–66) and Batfink (1966–67).
Taras also served as animator and/or designer for television programs such as Batfink, Spider-Man (The 1967 series), Josie and the Pussycats, Super Friends; and for theatrical motion pictures such as Fritz The Cat, Lord of the Rings, and Wizards.
Other regular features included a narrated story about the adventures of Magic, Timmy's cockatiel, various phone-in quizzes (typically at the end of the programme) where a selected viewer would compete in some gunge-related competition, and a short five-minute cartoon, such as Batfink or Dick Tracy.
Later Sharples cues were recycled into episodes of Seeger's Batfink.
