Cecil Grenfell

Lieutenant Robert Septimus Grenfell died in a cavalry charge at the Battle of Omdurman in 1898 and his two youngest brothers (twins) were both killed in the First World War.

René Bull

In 1898 he covered the Tirah Campaign in India and went on to Sudan for the campaign culminating in the Battle of Omdurman.

Hubert George Lyulph Howard (3 April 1871 - September 1898), killed at the Battle of Omdurman.
