Wiblishauser began his career with his hometown club, FC Memmingen, before joining the Youth Team of Bayern Munich in 1994.
He played in the Under-19 team for two and a half years before spending nine months with the Amateur team.
In his early years, Steffen played for the youth team of his home town Würzburg, before joining the Bayern Munich Junior Team in 1997.
