While its position in the Transformers continuity has previously been unknown, the IDW Publishing comic book mini-series Beast Wars: The Gathering and comments from Transformers writer Simon Furman have shown it is part of the Beast Wars continuity.
According to Transformers writer Simon Furman, the mini-series is set during the events of the season three episode, "Changing of the Guard".
His more recent work includes The Transformers: Spotlight issues on Galvatron and Mirage, profile art for the Beast Wars: Sourcebook series and the final issue of Beast Wars: The Ascending, as well as work on issue 5 of Titan UK's Transformers magazine.
His love of comic books inspires his work on a number of animated series, including ReBoot and Beast Wars: Transformers.
These included brand new strips written by Simon Furman (his work continued into volume 2) and some re prints such as the Beast Wars series (also by Furman) and the Movie Prequel.
