The Bellanger-Denhaut 22 (sometimes known by the military designation Bellanger-Denhaut HB.3) was a twin-engined bomber/reconnaissance flying boat designed by François Denhaut the technical director for seaplanes for the car manufacturer Bellanger.
He therefore purchased, in 1923, a license to build the English Austin 7 and with support from the engineer Jules Salomon he purchased the old Bellanger factory at Neuilly.
As a biology student in late 1970s Paris, Bellanger participated in the Free Radio movement that helped to topple the state’s monopoly on broadcasting.
