On "Transpacifik" (2003) he started collaborating with American jazz musicians Scott Colley and Nasheet Waits, and continued on "Xenophonia" (2006) with Ben Perowsky and Ari Hoenig, as well as Frenchman Remi Vignolo.
One of Saft's many projects is the Jamie Saft Trio with Ben Perowsky (drums) and Greg Cohen (acoustic bass).
It was released on the Arabesque label in 1998 and features performances by Douglas, Chris Potter, James Genus, and Ben Perowsky.
