Jordalsvatnet is a lake in Bergen, in Hordaland, Norway, and the main source of drinking water for the borough of Åsane, with almost 40,000 inhabitants, as well as the higher parts of Bergenhus borough.
Upon returning to Norway later that year he was sent back to Bergen to be temporary commander of Bergenhus Fortress in the place of Johan Caspar von Cicignon.
Christensen was a lawyer and military officer, and was appointed governor of the County of Northern Bergenhus in 1910 and held the position until 1929 (in 1918 the county was renamed Sogn og Fjordane).
