Caleu Caleu includes part (including the capital) of the municipality of La Adela and part of the municipalities of Bernasconi, General San Martín and Jacinto Aráuz, which have their capitals in another department.
Works started in the year 1541 and were completed in 1549; various reforms were carried out by Bernasconi in 1779.
George Henry Bernasconi (c. 1842 - 1916) was a Birmingham artist, the son of George Vincent Bernasconi, and of the same family as Francis Bernasconi.
