Charles C. Holt (21 May 1921 – 13 December 2010) was Professor Emeritus at the Department of Management at the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.

In early March 2011, U.S. Senator Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ) and Representative Rush D. Holt, Jr. (D-NJ-12) introduced the "Tyler Clementi Higher Education Anti-Harassment Act," which would mandate that colleges and universities that receive federal funding have policies in place to address harassment—including cyberbullying.
As director of research at the Menninger Foundation in Topeka, Kansas and later at the Austen Riggs Center in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, he exerted a major influence on a generation of psychologists and analysts, notably Merton Gill, Roy Schafer, Georg S. Klein, Robert R. Holt, in their exploration of such diverse topics as diagnostic testing, cognitive style, subliminal perception, altered states, and ego autonomy.
Holt was born on August 16, 1913 in rural Illinois to Gridley, Illinois Mayor William E. and Edna M. (née Gingerich) Froelich.

Holton was platted in 1871 and named for Henry H. Holt, a Muskegon County delegate to the State Constitutional Convention of 1867 and later Lieutenant Governor of Michigan, 1873-76.
Holt was elected as a Republican to the Eighty-third in 1952 and served three additional terms until he declined to run for reelection in 1960.
