During the rule of the Roman Empire in Palestine, a road was built that connected Lydda to Jerusalem and passed through Barfiliya and other villages like Beit Liqya, Biddu and Beit Iksa.
The band known as "the Indian Beatles" kept Bangalore, Calcutta and Bombay swinging in the sixties and included Biddu, a prominent pop musician.
The song was also part of the group's debut album Disco Deewane released in 1981 by Indian producer Biddu.

Verma was featured in the remix video of Biddu's hit song Boom Boom, sung by Nazia Hassan, as well as Bali Brahmbhatt's "Tere bin jeena nahi" with Bikram Saluja and Leslie Lewis' "Bheegi bheegi raaton mein" videos.
