Their second EP, Rage Valley, was released digitally through EarStorm and Big Beat.
Released in 1979 by Virgin Records (initial copies on colored vinyl) and later licensed to Elektra Records in the States, it renewed interest in the band after disappointing sales of albums like Big Beat and Introducing Sparks.
The soundtrack of Tekken 3 is mostly composed of big beat music, with the songs composed by Nobuyoshi Sano, Keiichi Okabe, Hiroyuki Kawada, Minamo Takahashi and Yu Miyake; the composers were inspired by artists like The Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Lunatic Calm, The Crystal Method, Underworld and Coldcut.

Hilly Michaels was a New York based session drummer, who performed on the Sparks “Big Beat” album in 1976, which was produced by Rupert Holmes.
The original lineup of the (Sensational) Shrines consisted of King Khan on vocals and guitars, Mr. Speedfinger on guitar, Boom Boom Jennes on bass, John Boy Adonis on "big beat," Sam Cook on trumpet, percussionist Ron (a.k.a. Rahn) Streeter (who formerly played for Ike and Tina Turner, Bo Diddley, Curtis Mayfield, Stevie Wonder, and Al Jarreau), Ben Ra on saxophone and Mr. Tom Bone on trombone.
The next album Introducing Sparks was much lighter but was equally slick and was no more successful than Big Beat.
In 1959, he appeared on Alan Freed's Big Beat program, and released a single with the Gents; soon after, the Gents toured with The Sparkletones.
Additional recordings exist from a demo session in 1955 ("Flip, Flop and Fly", "Rock-A-Beatin' Boogie" (written by Bill Haley) and "The Big Beat").
Although no songs from the album reached the charts, the song "The Big Beat" has been notably sampled by hip hop artists, including Run-D.M.C.'s "Here We Go", Big Daddy Kane's "Ain't No Half Steppin'", Jay-Z's "99 Problems", Dizzee Rascal's "Fix Up, Look Sharp", U.T.F.O's "Roxanne, Roxanne" and Alicia Keys' "Girl on Fire".
A review in a 1966 issue of Billboard magazine described the song as a "big-beat wailer" and a "strong follow-up to 'Good Lovin''".
