Bill Van Gundy is a former American college basketball coach, most notable for being the father of Jeff Van Gundy and Stan Van Gundy, both of whom have served as head coaches in the National Basketball Association.
Van Gundy grew up as a son of a basketball coach, Bill Van Gundy, the former head coach at Brockport State University in Western New York.
