Hugh Aycelin (1230, Billom - December 28, 1297, Rome) was a French Dominican theologian and philosopher who served as lector at the studium provinciale at Santa Sabina, the forerunner of the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas, Angelicum.
Not only did he receive them in his diocese, where they were put in charge of the colleges of Billom and Mauriac, but, in the face of opposition, he helped them financially and in other ways, in particular by founding the Collège de Clermont, so called after his episcopal city.
Hugh Aycelin (1230, Billom – 28 December 1297, Rome) was a French Cardinal.
Subsequently he was ordered to France, having been appointed master of novices at Billom.
