Nidhi is an elected member to the Constituent Assembly (Sambhidan Sabha) from Constituency Number 3 of Dhanusa District.
As a political center of the region, it has prominent leaders like Bimalendra Nidhi from the Nepali Congress, Ram Chandra Jha and Raghubir Mahaseth from the CPN-UML, and Matrika Yadav from the CPN-Maoist.
