The Turkish Foreign Ministry stated they have been shipped to Antonov's Kiev headquarters, but Turkish Minister of Transportation Binali Yıldırım claims they are still in Iraq, with the rest of the debris.
The project was mentioned by Minister of Transport Binali Yıldırım in May 2009 at the parliament.
The inaugural train will depart Alsancak Terminal in İzmir at 8:00pm (EEST) after an opening ceremony which the minister of transport, Binali Yıldırım will attend.
Minister of Transport and Communication Binali Yıldırım stated that of the total area to be socialized for the bridge project 9.57% is currently private property, 75.24% is forested land, and the remaining 15.19% is already state-owned land.
The Turkish Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, along with the President of Turkey, Abdullah Gül, and the Minister of Turkish Transport, Binali Yıldırım inaugurated the opening of the first phase of the project (Eskişehir-Ankara).
