3 unusual facts about Black Shuck

Black Shuck

You may know him at once, should you see him, by his fiery eye; he has but one, and that, like the Cyclops', is in the middle of his head.

Other local accounts attribute the event to the Devil (Abrahams calls the animal "the Divel in such a likeness").

Chignal St James

The village is also rumoured to be home to Black Shuck, a mythical devil dog, that has been sighted between Chignal St James and the neighbouring village of Chignal Smealy.
