Biberach an der Riss

Boehringer Ingelheim was founded in Ingelheim am Rhein, Germany in 1885, where the corporate headquarters are located.There are about 4,500 employees in Biberach.

Clement Scotus II

Clement was, then or later, resident at the Frankish court; there is a poem by him addressed to Lothar as emperor (i.e. after 817), from which it appears that Lothar was his pupil; and another poem, by Ermoldus Nigellus, describes Clement as active in the festivities at Ingelheim on the occasion of the baptism of the Danish king Harald in 826.

Hohenasperg

In May 1940, the prison was used as a way station for families during the first centrally planned deportation of Sinti and Roma out of southwest Germany, west of the Rhine River (Mainz, Ingelheim, Worms).

In the 10th century the Wormsgau lost wide middlerhenish zones, mostly to the benefit of the Nahegau, thereunder Ingelheim 937, Spiesheim 960, Saulheim 973 and Flonheim 996, until the Selz after the end of this schrinkage defined the northern limit.
