From it beginnings as a bicycle repair shop in Bordeau, through its establishment as a bicycle shop and workshop in Paris to its mass manufacture of a wide range of bicycles from the purpose built, state of the art factory at Levallois-Perret, Paris, the brand always combined advertising and marketing flair with quality products.
Fillucci has ever been accorded high rank, though this did not save him from the attacks of the Jansenists; while, in the anti-Jesuit tumult of 1762, the parlement of Bordeaux forbade his works, and the parlement of Rouen burnt them, together with twenty-eight other works by Jesuit authors.
