Borre, Denmark

The first historical reference to Borre is from 1510 when it was plundered by the Lübeckers from northern Germany.

Moss–Horten Ferry

In a letter dated 1712 King Frederick IV asked the governor of Borre to build a larger ferry able to hold 16 horses and 50 men.

Tulsk

His grave, amongst 370, can be viewed at Borre British Cemetery in northern France (grave number 11.F.6).

Vestfold University College

The university college's campuses were formerly located in Borre and Eik.


Hans Dons

Few days later, 7 June, Dons flew from Borre over Horten, crossing the Oslo-fjord to Moss and Fredrikstad – covering a distance of 48 km in 35 minutes.
