Such activity involves close liaison with many external agencies, such as the MOD's Lynx Integrated Project Team, AgustaWestland and Boscombe Down (Mission Systems and Rotary Wing Test Squadron).
As noted in contemporary sources, the picture was filmed in 1950 at Denham Studios with location shooting at Blackbushe Airport, Hampshire, England, although a scene with a Gloster E.1/44 prototype was possibly staged at Boscombe Down.
The prototype W.34; the Wyvern TF Mk 1, first flew at Boscombe Down on 16 December 1946 with Westland's test pilot Harald Penrose at the controls.
