He worked at the Dutch Bosscha Observatory in Indonesia between 1928 and 1935, and became assistant professor at Uppsala's Kvistabergs Observatorium (Kvistaberg Observatory) in 1948.

Gore (1956) The most recent solution being produced by the Dutch astronomer Gale Bruno van Albada (1957), while he was acting as the Director of the Bosscha Observatory in Java, Indonesia.
