1933–34 NHL season

On December 12, 1933, near the end of the second period of a game between the Leafs and the Boston Bruins in the Boston Garden, Bailey was tripped from behind by Bruins defenceman Eddie Shore, in retaliation for a check that Toronto defenceman King Clancy had delivered to Shore.

1990 NBA Playoffs

The first indication that the latter was not going to come came on March 25, 1947, when he made his American debut, against a top ranked heavyweight, Lee Savold, who proceeded to give Spagnolo his first knockout loss, in round eight at Boston's famed Boston Garden.

In the 1983 Newhart episode "A View from the Bench", where Dick Loudon is expelled from Boston Garden's seating section to the tunnel for a Celtics game, where an exhausted player is offered a "cold drink" from Loudon and turns back shouting "Hey, kid" as he tosses Newhart his basketball shoes as a souvenir.

New England Folk Festival

As Ralph Page later recalled the conversation, they were discussing a recent attempt at a "New England Folk Festival" at the Boston Garden which had left them unimpressed: "Mary said: 'Why don't we have a real folk festival?' and so the idea was born".

In the late 1980s, Z Channel broadcast a number of the World Wrestling Federation's live events from the Los Angeles Sports Arena, but nowhere near as many as Madison Square Garden (MSG Network), Boston Garden (New England Sports Network) or the Philadelphia Spectrum (PRISM).
