He is infamously known for attempting to pass to Rich Seubert, after a botch snap from Trey Junkin, on the last play of the Giants-49ers NFC Wildcard game on January 5, 2003, which fell incomplete, ending the Giants' season.
Soon after the band released a split with label mates Kenoma in 2006, Vernon left, leaving Lahm to record all the guitar parts on their second album The Ties That Blind which was released in August, and featured Brent Hinds of Mastodon on guest vocals on one track, and bass from Brian Cook of Botch, Russian Circles, and These Arms are Snakes.
In addition to hosting national bands (such as Botch, Fall Out Boy, Give Up the Ghost), a wide variety of local Tucson artists and small bands have played nearly nightly since its inception.
Guitarist Ryan Frederiksen formed Narrows with former Botch vocalist Dave Verellen and released their debut album New Distances in May 2009.
