Founded in 1911 and owned and operated by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee, it is the oldest Boys and Girls Clubs camp in America.

Wakefield Cathedral Choir, directed by Thomas Moore assisted by Simon Earl (assistant director of music) and Daniel Justin (organ scholar), consists of boys, girls and men who perform at the cathedral and have appeared on BBC One's Songs of Praise and BBC Radio 3's Choral Evensong.
The boys' & girls' championships are held at the Kohl Center in Madison, or the Alliant Energy Center or Wisconsin Field House in years where the Kohl Center hosts NCAA Basketball Tournament regionals at the same time.
