Book-and-record set

In the late 1940s and early '50's, Capitol Records produced many book-and-record sets for children, ranging from everything from Bozo the Clown to the classical music fantasy Sparky's Magic Piano.

Buck Wolf

One investigative piece succeeded in getting Larry Harmon's version of Bozo the Clown thrown out of the International Clown Hall of Fame, after he proved that Harmon had falsely described himself as the original Bozo.

Captain 20

Captain 20 was portrayed by Dick Dyszel from 1972-1987, who also played monster movie host Count Gore De Vol, Bozo the Clown, and served as the station's announcer.

International Clown Hall of Fame

In 2004, ABC News Columnist Buck Wolf settled a long-running clown controversy by inducting Pinto Colvig as the original Bozo.

Colvig was the father of the character and voice actor Vance Colvig, who was the first actor to play Bozo the Clown on a live TV program.
