Mahabharata also notifies that the Daradas, Sakas, Kambojas, Yavanas etc. were originally Kshatriyas but were slowly sank to the status of vrishalah or degraded Kshatriyas due to the wrath of the Brahmanas.
The Mādhavīya Śaṃkaravijayam states that when Adi Shankara was at Kollur, he accepted invitations by brāhmaņas to have Bhikşa (alms or food) at their houses.
Part of the botanical information was scrutinized by three Konkani Brahmanas, Appu Bhat, Vinayaka Pandit and Ranga Bhat, and compared to a Sanskrit textbook which they possessed by name “Manhanighantanam” (i.e., Sanskrit Mahānighaṇṭu, meaning "the great lexicon") followed by a process of thorough verification, discussion with other scholars and general agreement.
