He founded influential independent A&R company Crazed Hits, through which he discovered a variety of major recording artists, including LMFAO, Katy Perry, Kesha, Drake, OneRepublic, Nicki Minaj, Neon Trees, Owl City, Brantley Gilbert, Imagine Dragons, Kimbra, Mike Posner, Jessie J, Odd Future, Kid Cudi, and others.
Settling into his country-rock sound, Gilbert followed his debut with the sophomore project, Halfway to Heaven, on March 16, 2010.
