Before Leb i Sol, all band members played together in Miki Petkovski's band Breg.
Breg is not only a common toponym in Slovenia, but also has equivalents in other Slavic languages (e.g., Brijeg in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Břehy in the Czech Republic, Brehy in Slovakia, and Brzeg in Poland), all derived from the Slavic common noun *bergъ 'slope, bank'.
The city is situated at around 750 meters above sea level on the Baar plateau on the eastern edge of the southern Black Forest in the valley of Breg, about four kilometers south of Donaueschingen.

In 695 Congalach and his kinsman Áed mac Dlúthaig (died 701) of the Síl nDlúthaig of Fir Cúl Breg killed Fínsnechta Fledach, the High King of Ireland, and his son Bresal of the Clan Fínsnechtai sept at Grellaigh Dollaith.
Diarmait himself was killed in 689 as part of the old feud by Áed mac Dlúthaig (died 701) of the Fir Cúl Breg sept of Síl nÁedo Sláine.
The castle, of which only a single tower and some sections of wall survive intact, stands on slope known as Breg, near the source of the river Pivka, at an elevation of 618 m.
