It is the birthplace of Dino Monduzzi (1922—2006), a cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church.
Federigo Pedulli (Brisighella, February 15, 1860- after 1938) was an Italian painter, mainly of watercolor vedute of exterior and interior scenes.
He was the son of Alberghetto (or Alberghettino) Manfredi, one of the main Guelph leader of Romagna, from whom he inherited the lordships of Brisighella, Quarneto and Baccagnano, to which Francesco added other lands starting from 1309.
It was established in 1992 by Bandini's hometown of Brisighella, to be awarded to an outstanding figure from the world of motor racing.
Pope Benedict XVI celebrated his funeral Mass on the following 16 October and his remains were then buried in his family tomb in Brisighella.
