Eves signed for Newcastle from Bristol towards the end of the 2009/10 season, with the signing being announced the day after Bristol lost to Exeter in the Championship final.
Bridge is also the founder of Bristol Rugby Mini & Juniors Section and a former Chairman of Bath Mini Rugby.
He worked previously for New Zealand national rugby union team and was also a coach, then Director of Rugby at English club Bristol Rugby from 2001 to 2003.
Originally a police officer, he started playing club rugby for South Wales Police RFC, and later Newport RFC, Cardiff RFC, Pontypridd RFC (he also coached the team in 2000) and Bristol Rugby.
For the 2009-10 season, Giddens moved to England, signing with Bristol Rugby of the RFU Championship.
