HuaChanSu

HuaChanSu (bufo bufo gargarizans) is a traditional Chinese medicine extracted from the skin of the Bufo toad that is believed by some to slow the spread of cancerous cells.

This was called the Bufo test, named after the toad genus Bufo, which was originally used for the test.


Oriental odd-tooth snake

They live in the forest, mainly in the forest floor and predate other snakes, frogs and lizards, such as Achalinus spinalis, the Japanese common toad (Bufo japonicus), Takydromus tachydromoides, and Plestiodon japonicus.

Rhabdias bufonis

Besides the common toad from which this roundworm was first described, it has been found in the common spadefoot toad (Pelobates fuscus), the common frog (Rana temporaria), the moor frog (Rana arvalis), the agile frog (Rana dalmatina), the European fire-bellied toad (Bombina bombina), the yellow-bellied toad (Bombina variegata), water frogs (Pelophylax spp.) and the European green toad (Bufo viridis).

The Wyoming toad or Baxter's toad (Bufo baxteri syn. Anaxyrus baxteri) is an extremely rare amphibian that exists only in captivity and within Mortenson Lake National Wildlife Refuge in Wyoming in the United States.
