In NSW, it is currently only known from fewer than 10 locations, including near Bulahdelah, the Watagan Mountains, the Blue Mountains, Wisemans Ferry area, Agnes Banks and near Nowra.
The natural range of distribution is high rainfall coastal areas from Bermagui to Bulahdelah.
After flowing past the town of Bulahdelah, east of the small settlement of Nerong, the Myall River enters the most southern of the three Ramsar-protected Myall Lakes, Bombah Broadwater, within the Myall Lakes National Park.
In July 1989 the business was split with Phillip Fogg retaining ownership of Bulahdelah Bus Co with the Newcastle to Forster, Bulahdelah to Newcastle, Stroud & Taree and Forster to Sydney services rebranded as Great Lakes Coaches, and the remainder of the business sold to Graham Habgood.
