Another planned city called "Pangyo" is being built next to Bundang as of 2008 and many large-scale shopping malls are expected to come into that area, people in Bundang would enjoy better shopping experiences in the near future.

Bundang-gu is now home to prominent companies such as KT (formerly Korea Telecom), Korea Gas Corporation, KEPCO, and Korea Land Corporation.
Seoul National University Bundang Hospital, consists of 6 departments : the Geriatric Medical Centre, Heart Centre, Cranial nerve Centre, Lung Centre, Articulation Centre, and the Health Improvement Centre, and 23 departments, such as Internal Medicine, Surgery, Chest Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics, Plastic Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and Pediatrics.
