2006 Holland Series

Since 2001 all Holland Series were decided in a clash between Neptunus and Bussum based Mr. Cocker HCAW.

Bussum

Bussum has 32.483 inhabitants (as of 1 April 2011, source: CBS) residing on an area of only 8 km².

From 1898 until 1907, Bussum housed the first Dutch socialist colony after the example of Thoreau's Walden, set up by the writer and psychiatrist Frederik van Eeden.

February strike

Though the Germans immediately took measures to suppress the strike, which had grown spontaneously as other workers followed the example of the tram drivers, it still spread to other areas, including Zaanstad, Kennemerland in the west, Bussum, Hilversum and Utrecht in the east and the south.
