Until that station signed on, that channel position was dark for a period of time, making CFVO the first major television station in Canadian history to have actually gone dark, and the only one until CHCA-TV in Red Deer, Alberta & CKX-TV in Brandon, Manitoba closed in 2009 along with three stations in 2011 -- CJAL-TV Edmonton, CIAN-TV Calgary & CKXT-DT (formerly CKXT-TV) Toronto.
He is also a regular guest on sports talk shows such as TSN’s Off The Record and SunTV’s The Grill Room.
Following 969, Van Vliet returned to Toronto where he co-hosted the program Inside Jam! with Tara Slone on Sun TV.
Prior to joining Breakfast Television, she began her career as a producer of Global Television Network's The Bynon Show and Toronto 1's Toronto Today, later becoming an entertainment reporter and host of The A-List and Star!'s Star! Daily.
She was co-host of the entertainment program Inside Jam with Chris Van Vliet on SUN TV in Toronto.
