Found in the West Indies in the Caicos Islands, particularly on the islands of Ambergris Cay, Long Caye, Middle Caicos, Middleton Cay, North Caicos, South Caicos, and probably also on Providenciales.

In 1936, he and one of his brothers flew across the Bahamas from north to south, and were the first to land a plane on East Caicos in the Turks and Caicos Islands; the school children were let out of school for the special occasion.
On 12 June 2012, British Foreign Secretary William Hague announced to the House of Commons in London that sufficient progress had been made towards the milestones that elections would be held in the Turks and Caicos Islands on 9 November.
