Georg August Pritzel (2 September 1815, Carolath – 14 June 1874) was a German librarian and botanical writer.

On 6 August 1940 at his residence at Doorn, former German Emperor Wilhelm II officially announced his stepdaughter Princess Henriette's engagement with his grandson Prince Karl Franz of Prussia.

Hermine had five young children, but it was decided that only the youngest, Princess Henriette, would come to live with them at Doorn.

Siegfried Karfunkelstein was a German soldier; born at Beuthen, Silesia, 21 February 1848; died on the field of battle at Le Bourget 30 October, 1870.
It is known for the Baroque Zabór Castle built in 1677, formerly held by the noble house of Schoenaich-Carolath.
