Catherine Crook de Camp, (November 6, 1907, New York City – April 9, 2000, Plano, Texas) was an American science fiction and fantasy author and editor.
According to Morgan Holmes, citing de Camp friend Loay Hall, Carter actually did none of the writing, and the story was actually written by de Camp in collaboration with his wife Catherine Crook de Camp.
