Designed by her the maple leaf emblem symbolizing Ottawa, in an arrangement with two smaller leaves representing the two sciences - genealogy and heraldry - was an official emblem of the 22nd International Congress of Genealogical and Heraldic Sciences held in 1996 in Ottawa.

Sabourin then spent five seasons with the Milwaukee Admirals before finishing his playing career following the 1998–99 IHL season after one year with the Orlando Solar Bears.
Sabourin left Vilmorin in 1931 to become Head of Studies of the Municipal School of Horticulture at Breuil, where he also reorganized the collections and library.
