After being transferred from FCI Dublin in California, as of July 2009 she was an inmate at FMC Carswell (Fort Worth, Texas) in the United States with an expected prison sentence expiry date of 7 July 2014.

She and her husband, both represented by F. Lee Bailey, were each originally sentenced to over 24 years in federal prison under mandatory sentencing laws.

In the 1990s he and his wife Chantal created a number of late-night television infomercials, selling materials which purported to teach people how to make money buying foreclosed real estate properties.

William and Chantal McCorkle were charged in a multi-count indictment with conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, laundering money, using fraudulently obtained credit cards, and using a false Social Security number.

His wife, Chantal, was also convicted but was eventually released in 2010.
