Charles J. Chaput, the archbishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Philadelphia
The Austin Museum of Digital Art is the brainchild of Harold Chaput, then a Computer Sciences doctoral student at the University of Texas at Austin, and Christopher Rankin, an art history graduate of Trinity University and experienced museum worker.
On May 11, 1969, near Chapeau, a farmer by the name of Leo-Paul Chaput was awakened at 2 am, and witnessed a brilliant white light emanating from a flat-bottomed domed craft, resembling a French WWI military helmet.
Born in Montreal, the daughter of Émile Chaput and Rosalie Loranger, she received her education from the Couvent d'Outremont, the Sorbonne and the Institut Catholique de Paris.
For Chaput, the Quebec autonomist was depicted in the 17th century by Jean de La Fontaine in the fable The Wolf and the Lamb.
