Charlevoix

For much of its history, Charlevoix was home to a thriving summer colony of wealthy Americans, including President William Howard Taft.

WCCW-FM

WCCW-FM is an FM combination in Traverse City, Michigan, United States, consisting of WCCW-FM in Traverse City and relaying station WCZW in Charlevoix.

It was Northwest Michigan's first truly contemporary format, even though in later-dayparts, and was soon followed by WVOY in Charlevoix about 1974.

In 2004, WCCW-FM added a new sister station, 6 kW WCZW 107.9 in Charlevoix, which brings WCCW's programming also to the Petoskey area.

William Ratigan

Ratigan made his home in Charlevoix, Michigan where he operated a small used bookstore in a fish shanty called The Dockside Press. In his latter years, he would spend winters in Dunedin, Florida.


Albert Henry Loeb

In addition to their Kenwood home, Loeb built a summer estate for the family called Castle Farms, in Charlevoix, Michigan.

Charlesbourg-Jacques-Cartier

It was abolished in 2003 when it was redistributed into a new Charlesbourg riding, and Charlevoix—Montmorency and Portneuf ridings.
